Control Only Replacement
This includes the replacement of the CNC and Operator Panel. We leave the existing drives, motors, and cabling. This type of retrofit is a way to offer some benefits of a retrofit and keep the cost low. Recently, we performed this type of retrofit on a Cincinnati Milacron 10HC Horizontal Machining Center.
Control and Motor Replacement
This option requires a little more hardware. This type of retrofit replaces the CNC control, drives, motors, motor cables, and feedback cables. This is most often the most desired type of retrofit. It offers nearly all the benefits of a retrofit.
Complete Electrical System Replacement
This is the most encompassing type of retrofit. It replaces the entire electrical control system including the enclosures. This offers all the benefit of a retrofit and reduces the amount of time the machine needs to be down to perform the retrofit. This Turmat retrofit is a good example of this.
